Open Portal (E-Billing)

Braintree District Council can now issue your Council Tax or Business Rate bill electronically, rather than by post.

This service is changing and for customers who already receive their bill electronically, you will need to register to our Open Portal Secure Portal, to ensure your bill is viewed securely we are removing the PDF attachment from your email and this will be replaced with a link directly to a secure web page called Open Portal. Here you will be able to register or log in.

Please note: Once you have registered for Open Portal you will receive an email within a few days confirming your registration. This will contain your username ONLY and memorable information. For added security your password will be posted to your address with 7 days of registering.

To view your bill, you may need to download Adobe Acrobat on your device unless you're viewing your account via a smartphone.

All other notices and legal documents i.e. Reminders, Final Notices, Summonses will be continued to be issued in paper format.
