Who can attend a committee meeting?

In response to COVOD-19, the Council’s Committee Meetings are held as virtual meetings in accordance with the Local Authorities and Police and Crime Panels (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority and Police and Crime Panel Meetings) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020.

Agendas and reports setting out the issues to be discussed are available from our website before the meeting. The agendas and reports are published 5 clear working days before the meeting.

Can I view meetings?

All of the Council’s Virtual Committee meetings are broadcasted via the Council’s YouTube Channel, Braintree District Council Committees. http://www.braintree.gov.uk/youtube

Although the Committee meetings are held in public, a Committee may hold part of its meeting in private when confidential information is being discussed.  Should the meeting move into private session, the broadcast via the Council’s YouTube channel will be stopped for the duration of the private session.
