Parish Councillors, Clerks, and volunteers can play a huge role in contributing to the work of local emergency responders. This can reduce the impact of an emergency on the community, both in the short and long term.
All 54 Parish and Town Councils have completed community emergency plans. They will continue to develop these plans on an annual basis.
Sometimes emergency responders have to prioritise their resources to an area where the needs are greater. This is especially needed if there is a danger to life within a community.
