Take a look at your town, village or surrounding countryside – what is it that makes you love where you live?

Can you take a photograph which will capture a beautiful image and inspire people to visit our district, and discover the Green Heart of Essex?
 
We are looking for beautifully observed, well composed pictures, ideally images of people enjoying living, working and playing in the district – a good picture speaks a thousand words.
 
All pictures must have been taken within the Braintree District.
 
The pictures will be used to promote our district and the Green Heart campaign through Council publications.
 
Enter pictures as digital jpegs these should be no smaller than 2 meg.
 
Please include your name and contact details, your age if under 18 and caption for the picture and where it was taken and declaration that you have read the terms and conditions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Terms and conditions

If you are below the age of 18 you must obtain consent from your parent or guardian to submit your photographs.
 
The photographer must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of photos entered.
 
The copyright remains with the photographer, although by submitting the photographs you authorise Braintree District Council a non exclusive royalty free usage of your photo, in return we will credit the photographer where ever possible.
 
All submissions must clearly state, where the picture was taken, with a caption explaining the photograph.  You must include your name, address, e-mail address.
 
Digital images should be submitted as jpegs to marketing@braintree.gov.uk.
