We have formally adopted the Braintree District Local Plan 2013-2033
This decision for North Essex Authorities’ Shared Strategic Section 1 Plan was made at a meeting of The Council on Monday 22 February 2021.
The decision for Section 2 Plan was made at meeting of The Council on Monday 25th July 2022.

Commenting on the Local Plan Review
We are seeking early feedback from residents, businesses and stakeholders on ideas, issues or suggestions of what they would like to be considered as we update the Local Plan looking forward to 2041.
This could include housing, employment, green spaces, transportation, infrastructure or any other aspect of the community.
Comments and ideas can be submitted until 5pm on Friday 16th October 2024 by:

These comments will be considered as part of the Local Plan Review process.
