Homelessness and Rough Sleeping strategy
The aim of the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy is to prevent homelessness at an early stage and where this is not possible, we will support homeless households and those in housing need to secure suitable affordable housing.
The evidence led document has been produced to inform the strategic decision making for the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy.
Braintree District Council will work with our partners through shared aims and aspirations to deliver the 4 strategic priorities:
- Work with partners to prevent homelessness by intervening at the earliest opportunity.
- Facilitate the delivery of suitable temporary accommodation for eligible households.
- Improve access to appropriate accommodation.
- Continue to work with partners to prevent and break the cycle of rough sleeping.
