Why are we changing Local Council Tax Support from 01 April 2024?
Local Council Tax Support (LCTS) is currently a complex means-tested assessment.
By redesigning and simplifying the scheme, it will ensure customers:
- have a better understanding of how their entitlement is being calculated.
- receive decisions faster.
- receive fewer notifications and letters from us.
- have fewer changes in their Council Tax payments each year meaning they will have more stability in their payments.
