Celebrating success at the Witham Business Showcase
Witham Chamber of Commerce and Braintree District Council hosts Witham Business Showcase on Chamber's 80th AnniversaryPublished: Thursday, 14th February 2019
Witham Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that as part of the continued support they offer to businesses in Witham and beyond, they will again be hosting a Business Showcase in the Witham Public Hall on 13th March 2019. The event coincides with the Chamber's celebration of its 80th Anniversary. The Business Showcase is open to the pubic and businesses, with free entry from 11am – 2pm, to visit the 30+ local business exhibitors.
Tina Townsend, Chair of the Chamber said, “After extensive research we found confirmation of the Chamber’s very first meeting, which was held on 13th March 1939, in the back room of the George Public House. We therefore decided to delay the showcase which was originally planned for October 2018 so we could celebrate our anniversary in style. We are now also able to confirm that we will be working in partnership with Braintree District Council. The Chamber is delighted to be working with Braintree District Council on this event.”
Councillor Tom Cunningham, Cabinet Member for Economic Development said, “We are proud to be a partner at the Witham Chamber Business Showcase. Businesses, large and small, are at the heart of our communities and we are committed to help grow our economy. We are excited by the future for this district as our investments pave the way for businesses who are attracted to the area. With an abundance of talent and support for businesses, the Business Showcase is where we can come together to share knowledge, network and collaborate with each other.”
