What can go in your mixed recycling bin
This bin is for a wide range of recyclable materials:
- Glass bottles and jars
- Tins and cans
- Plastic bottles
- Tubs
- Yoghurt pots
- Film (such as plastic wrapping)
- Plastic bags
- Food and drink cartons
- Sacks (empty)
Important:
- Place all items loose and not inside bags
What can't go in your mixed recycling bin
- Crisp packets, chocolate wrappers, food pouches and coffee bags.
- Packaging with food still inside or unwashed containers
- Aerosols that aren't completely empty or chemical containers
- Pyrex, window glass, mirrors or lightbulbs
- Paper, hard plastics, polystyrene, ceramics, blister packs and coffee cups

Bubble wrap can be used again and again to protect items in the post or when transporting them. You can recycle clean aluminium foil in your Mixed Recycling. Scrunch smaller pieces together into a ball to make them easier to recycle. Drink and food cartons (eg fruit juice cartons, milk cartons, crisps tubes, Tetra Pak) can be recycled in your Mixed Recycling.
