The Rural Community Energy Fund
The Rural Community Energy Fund supports communities to develop renewable energy projects.
The fund provides up to £150,000 of funding in two stages:
- stage 1 is a grant up to £20,000 to pay for a feasibility study
- stage 2 provides an unsecured loan of up to £130,000 to support planning applications and develop a business case to attract further investment

The Essex Community Foundation
The Essex Community Foundation award grants to voluntary or communty groups and other not for profit organisations.
They make grants of between £250 and £10,000 which must be spent within one year.
