Noisy or barking dogs
You can expect a dog to bark intermittently for short periods of time. However, a dog which barks constantly can be a nuisance.
You can report a noisy or barking dog using our online form.
To complete this form you will need to tell us:
- your name, address and contact details
- details of the dog including where it is
- the times and days when the dog is making a noise or barking
Once we receive your complaint we will treat it in the strictest confidence. We will not pass your details on to the owner of the dog.
After we receive your complaint, we may ask you to keep a diary sheet. This allows us to assess the extent of the noise or barking and identify if a statutory nuisance exists.
