Local Enforcement Plan
We have a Local Enforcement Plan which sets out how we undertake planning enforcement investigations.

Each enforcement case is unique and our decision officers will be fair, impartial and objective at all times.
We commit to working in a way which is:
- Open about how we carry out our work
- Helpful in providing advice
- Proportional in relation to the scale and impact of the suspected breach
- Consistent with the policies set out within our local enforcement plan
The Enforcement Team provides some active monitoring of development sites, especially those largest development sites, to ensure that these are being built in accordance with approved plans. We cannot be there all of the time to detect breaches, we therefore welcome reports where it is believed that permissions are being exploited.
Alleged breaches can be reported to us by residents using our online form.
