You are expected to return the property in a reasonably clean condition, taking into account fair wear and tear. This does not mean restoring the property to a brand‑new condition.

All personal belongings should be removed before you leave, unless you have agreed otherwise with the landlord. Items left behind can cause delays or additional charges.

Tenants are usually responsible for cleaning and for fixing minor damage they have caused. Normal wear from everyday use, such as worn carpets or small scuffs, is not your responsibility.

Taking dated photographs or videos before leaving can help if there is later disagreement about the property’s condition. It is also useful to keep records of cleaning or repairs you have arranged.

All keys should be returned by the agreed move‑out date. Failing to return keys may result in extra charges, such as for changing locks.
