Keep Safe is a free scheme to help people feel safer when they are out and about in our district.
The Keep Safe scheme works with venues across the district who offer the use of a telephone or will make a phone call for members of the scheme if they are in need. For example, if you lose your keys, phone or wallet, or are distressed in any way
If you join the scheme we will give you:
- a card and key ring that have the phone numbers of your contacts that a Keep Safe venue can call for help
- details about the venues supporting the scheme
All the venues in the scheme display a Keep Safe sticker, so you know where to go for help. The venues that support the scheme include:
- shops
- supermarkets
- public places that are a safe place to go to
If you, or someone you work or care for are interested in joining the scheme, you can contact our Community Services for more information.
