Trade at a market

Weekly markets

Braintree and Witham are two historic market towns, both with traditional style markets every week set in the heart of the town centres.

We’re looking for enthusiastic traders to join our traditional markets community, either on a Wednesday or Saturday, or both in Braintree. Witham traditional market is held on a Saturday.

Are you a ‘small crafter or maker’?  Do you have something unique to sell? Do you live within Braintree District? Are you rurally located? We’re looking for new traders, young entrepreneurs and businesses to trade with us. So, if you think you fit the bill, we’d love for you to join us. If you are interested in trialling our weekly Traditional Market, drop us an email and get in touch! For more information please email

You’ll be surrounded by local heritage, shops and churches. It is also a chance to build networks and partnerships with the  local high street business community, including residents and visitors.
