The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) is a statutory document, first adopted in July 2006, where we set out how we will engage with the public and affected communities on planning applications and policy documents, including our Local Plan.
To reflect changes in legislation, governance and technological change the document has been through several reviews since its original adoption. The latest document was approved by councillors at Local Plan Sub-Committee on 31st October 2024 and replaces one dated 2021.
