We have to complete a Housing Delivery Test (HDT) every year to make sure enough homes are being built to meet Braintree’s housing need.
The test compares the number of actual new homes built in Braintree District over the previous 3 years with the number of homes that were needed to meet the HDT target over that same period.

As the delivery test result was above 95% the standard buffer of 5% will apply to the target for identifying a 5 year supply of sites for homes 2021-2026, and no action plan is required.
