Apply for a Temporary event notice
To apply for a Temporary event notice, you will need to:
- download complete and upload the application form on GOV.UK
- pay the £21 fee through the online payment process
If you upload your completed application form on GOV.UK, we will send your application to our Environmental Health Manager and Essex Police.
Download and print an application form
You can also print a paper application. If you decide to download and print your application you will need to:
- send a copy to our Licensing Team, Environmental Health, and Essex Police, by person or in post
- the addresses to send your application to can be found on the application form
Timescales
You must submit your temporary event notice 10 working days before an event.
If you apply for a late Temporary Event Notice, you will need to submit your application:
- no later than five working days before the start of your event
- no earlier than nine working days before the start of your event
Working days do not include:
- the day we receive the notice
- the day the event starts
- weekends
- bank holidays
