Other ways to show you care
If you want to show you care about your local area, but don’t have the time to become one of our champions, there are plenty of other things you can do.
Green Heart activities
You can join a Green Heart activity near you such as:
- maintaining a wildlife area
- tidying a local area
- picking up litter in your streets
Recycle
Reduce, reuse, recycle and compost wherever you can. Encourage your family, friends and neighbours to do the same.
Keep it tidy
Make sure you get rid of your litter, gum, and cigarette butts properly. Encourage your family and friends to do the same.
Contact us to report litter, fly tipping or anything else that is causing a mess.
Keep your own garden tidy and attractive, encourage your neighbours to do the same or have some fun by doing it together. You can also offer to help those who are unable to tidy their garden for themselves
Spread the word
Send us your photographs. We are looking for beautifully observed, well composed pictures of our district. We will use the pictures to promote our district and Green Heart campaign.
