Information about the new service
Collections are scheduled to start week commencing 4 March 2024. All details will be put on our website, and further information will also be put out through bin hangers, social media, our digital newsletters, and the local newspapers. We will let residents know when registration is open for the early bird discount. Further communication will be issued on our website and social media. We will then let you know when the payment system goes live so that you can complete your subscription. The preferred method of payment will be online on the Council’s website and usual communication channels. Yes, your collection day could change. This is because we may need to review our schedule, subject to take-up. We will let you know if there are any changes. We will continue to collect garden waste once a fortnight. For the first year (March 2024 – March 2025) the subscription will cover a 13-month period. Thereafter each subscription year will cover a 12-month period from April to March. Yes, we will honour scheduled collections through to the end of March 2024. After that, you will need to subscribe to the new service to have your bin emptied. No, however, the service will be suspended for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period.
