About the electoral register
Everyone who has registered to vote will appear on the full electoral register.
The open register is an extract of the full electoral register. This version is available to anyone who wants to buy it, such as businesses or charities.
We will include you on the open register unless you opt out. You can opt out of the open register:
- when you register to vote
- during our annual canvass
- by completing an online request form
Opting out of the open register will not affect your right to vote or credit status.
Opt in or out of the open register
To complete this form you will need:
- your name
- your address
- your email address
You can find more information about the electoral register on GOV.UK.
By law, we have to supply a copy of the full register to some people or organisations if they ask for it. This includes:
- elected representatives (such as MPs and local councillors)
- candidates for local and national elections
- political parties
- parish councils
