Our text message service sends you free reminders of:
- bin collection dates
- emergency alerts
- service updates
How to register
To register all you have to do is text your postcode, house number or house name to 07860064108.
Your mobile phone provider may charge you for sending your initial sign-up text message to us.
You can cancel the text messaging service at any time by texting STOP to 07860064108.
If you change your mobile phone number please re-register.
You can also cancel by emailing our Customer Service centre with the following details:
- Subject: Cancel text messages
- your name
- your house name or number and postcode
You cannot cancel the service by replying to one of the automated text messages that the systems sends you.
Bin collection reminders for flats
We cannot send bin collection reminders for residents living in flats.
This is because we use bulk bin vehicles on a different system to make bin collections from the bin stores at flats.
Refuse from flats is normally contained in a bulk bin or bin store, so if your collection is a day later it shouldn’t cause a problem.
