General guidance on making your application
All job applications must be made via the website in response to an advertised vacancy. We do not accept speculative CVs. Before submitting your application, please make sure that you have read the guidance notes carefully.
Your application will be assessed according to how closely you meet the knowledge, skills and experience required. It is important that you demonstrate, by giving examples, how you meet the essential and desirable criteria.
When making your application, there are some details you must provide. These mandatory fields are marked with a red star.
Once you have completed all sections of the application form, the 'submit application' button will appear allowing you to send your application to us. You will receive an acknowledgement by email.
If you do not receive an acknowledgement email, check your junk/spam email folders. If you still have not received an acknowledgement, it may mean that you have not successfully submitted your application, in which case you should contact us by emailing email@example.com
If your application has been unsuccessful, you will be notified via email after the closing date. This could take a couple of weeks, depending on how long it takes for the shortlisting to be completed.
Information for disabled applicants
If you have a disability which makes it difficult for you to apply online please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01376 552525.
As part of the application process, you will be asked if you have a disability or require any adjustments to the application or interview process. Any specific requests will be discussed with you prior to the interview to ensure your needs can be met.
The shortlisting will be based solely on the information you have provided in your application, therefore you must ensure that you provide sufficient evidence of how you meet the skills, knowledge and experience needed.
Arranging your interview
If you are shortlisted we will contact you via email to invite you to attend an interview.
Interview dates will usually have been included in the job advert and wherever possible, we try to give one week's notice of the interview date. It is not usually possible to offer an alternative interview date.
If for any reason you are unable to attend the selection process, please let us know as soon as possible.
At the interview
You will be interviewed by at least two people. If you are required to give a presentation or undertake a test or task as part of the selection process you will be given full details when you are invited for an interview.
After the interview
We will let you know whether you have been successful or unsuccessful.
