Book a sports pitch
We have two different styles of pitch that you can book at Great Notley Country Park.
We have an Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) and a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) available for hire for football, basketball, netball or tennis.
Both pitches are open from 9am to 10pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday.
Parking is available onsite for both types of pitch.
Pitch dimensions
As per the FA guidance for pitch sizes, the AGP measures at 60 yards long and 40 yards wide with a 16ft wide goal at each end without runoff. Which is the standard size for a 7-a-side match.
Make a casual booking
To make a casual booking please use our online booking form.
You must make same day bookings at least two hours in advance.
You must pay for your booking when you make it. You must pay using a debit or credit card.

Cancel a booking
To cancel a booking, you need to call us on 01376 552525 and ask for the Pitch Booking team or email pitchbookings@braintree.gov.uk.
You must cancel your booking at least an hour before your start time.
Single bookings
If you cancel or postpone your booking at least 14 days before your hire date, we will refund half of the hire fee
If you cancel or postpone your booking less than 14 days before your hire date, you will have to pay the full hire fee.
If you cancel a booking, but rebook it within four weeks of the original hire date, we will transfer your payment to your new booking.
Block bookings
If you are interested in making a block booking, please email your desired days and times to our Pitch Booking team at pitchbookings@braintree.gov.uk who will be able to look into your request and respond within 2 working days.
If you are already one of our block bookers and would like to cancel a booking, you should email pitchbookings@braintree.gov.uk. Please refer to the terms and conditions on your booking sheet in regards to cancellations and refunds.
