Braintree District Council is consulting on a Submission Draft of its updated Local Plan (known as Regulation 19 consultation) plus the associated Sustainability Appraisal (SA) and Strategic Environmental Assessment (HRA) documents. It sets out a blueprint for how the district will develop up to 2043. It plans for new homes and jobs in the most sustainable places, alongside supporting infrastructure like roads, schools, healthcare and community facilities.
All responses will be forwarded to the planning inspector who will be interested in representations relating to the soundness and legal compliance of the Local Plan.
When you’re preparing your written comments, it is important to consider which of the specific tests of soundness, and/or which of the legal compliance requirements, you think your comment relates to.
