As part of the waste and recycling service changes, deliveries of the new bins have now begun across the district.

Unfortunately, these deliveries have coincided with a period of unprecedented wet and muddy weather, and in some cases, this has meant a small number of bins have picked up mud or marks while being stored and transported. We fully understand that this is not the experience you should expect when receiving a new bin.

Please be assured that:

  • We are ensuring all bins are delivered as clean as possible.
  • Lids may have warped slightly during storage but should settle back to a flat fit after a few days
  • Our delivery crews have been advised about the recent reports and are taking extra care during handling and delivery.
