You are applying for the Non Standard Waste Collection Service.
Alternative Waste Containers
If your property is not suitable for the Standard Waste Collection Service, alternative collection arrangements may be considered.
Where a wheeled recycling bin is not suitable or cannot be accommodated, households will be provided with up to 8 x 55-litre stackable recycling boxes, in place of the wheeled bin. These boxes will include lids to keep contents dry and secure. This ensures that households receive a comparable recycling capacity to those using the standard wheeled bin service.
For refuse, households will be issued with 52 black sacks per year, equivalent to three per waste collection.
Check if You Qualify for a Non-Standard Waste Collection Service
Before you apply, please check whether if your property meets the criteria for a non-standard waste collection service.
If your property meets any of these criteria, you may be eligible for an alternative waste collection arrangement.
You may qualify if your property has one or more of the following:
- Steep slope or bank
- Number of steps
- No front or back garden
- No outside access to where bins are stored (e.g. bins can only be taken out through the house)
This form should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.
