What We Cannot Investigate

Before completing this form, please check:

• Whether the vehicle is taxed
• Whether the vehicle has a valid MOT certificate

This is because the council does not have the legal authority to investigate the following:

• Untaxed vehicles must be reported to the DVLA
• Vehicles without an MOT certificate must be reported to Essex Police
• Illegally or inconsiderately parked vehicles should be reported to North Essex Parking Partnership (NEPP).
• Vehicles causing obstruction or danger should be reported to Essex Police.
