Rose Hill Park
Braintree District Council is continuing to create a park on the land near Rose Hill to open the space for everyone to use and enjoy.
Based on the feedback we received from the consultation held at the end of last year, we are pleased to let you know that we will shortly begin work to make the park.
The first phase of work will include clearing some vegetation, fencing the site and preparing the ground.
Work will begin the week commencing 12th February. This will allow us to complete the vegetation work, with an ecologist on site, before the main nesting season for birds (1st March – 31st July).
We expect the work to be completed within 10 weeks – weather dependant. The works will generally be undertaken between 8am-6pm weekdays although there may be some occasions where work will be carried out on Saturdays.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us on the details provided.

- Phase 2 will then go out to tender.
The project started when Braintree District Council took over the ownership of the land. At the time we spoke with local residents who were interested in the project to help us design a new park to be built on the wasteland. The land was then cleared as it was full of rubbish and dense vegetation.
The design was produced on the week commencing the 21st September 2017 and then released for public consultation. The feedback received from the consultation illustrated that there is strong support to build the proposed design and recommends that Braintree District Council continues with the project.
