Rose Hill Park

Braintree District Council took ownership of a piece of land between Rose Hill and the Lakes Road Industrial Park (What3words location: ///assure.each.canny), following the housing built in the area. The site used to be part of the railway and has been left to become overgrown.

The area will become a new public open space, and will feature:

  • A looped walk
  • Wildflower meadow
  • Play equipment
  • Benches
  • Shrub planting
  • And Public artwork

The new park will create a space for the community to come together to experience the great outdoors and will be a destination for those directly next to the park, and all those within Braintree.

Work is expected to start November 2024, and will take approximately 10 weeks.

Please be aware that Vehicles will be accessing the site via Wickham Crescent and Holden close, and although we aim to minimise disruption to residents please be aware that there will be deliveries throughout the project’s delivery.
