Notice of referendum
- A referendum will be held on Thursday 5 September 2024 to decide on the following question:
Do you want Braintree District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Hatfield Peverel to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?
- Applications to be included on the register of electors for this referendum must be received by the Electoral Registration Officer, Causeway House Braintree, Essex CM7 9HB no later than 23:59 on Monday 19 August 2024.
- Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Causeway House, Bocking End, Braintree, Essex, CM7 9HB by 5pm on Tuesday 20 August 2024.
- Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Causeway House, Bocking End, Braintree, Essex, CM7 9HB by 5pm on Wednesday 28 August 2024.
- Applications to vote by proxy at this election applied for on grounds of physical incapacity, where that physical incapacity occurred after 5pm on Wednesday 28 August 2024, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Causeway House, Bocking End, Braintree, Essex, CM7 9HB by 5pm on Thursday 5 September 2024.
