The Witham AgeWell fair is back this autumn, offering a vibrant and informative event for older residents and their families.
Taking place on Thursday, 6 November 2025, from 10am to 1pm at the Public Hall in Witham, the fair brings together more than 30 organisations dedicated to supporting wellbeing, independence and community connections in later life. Organisations in attendance include the Alzheimer’s Society, Essex Dementia Care, Witham Town Council, Essex Fire and Rescue, Farleigh Hospice and many more.
This free event is designed to help attendees explore services, activities and advice tailored to the needs of older adults. Whether attendees are looking for health screenings, dementia support, fraud prevention advice or opportunities to join local clubs and social groups, the AgeWell fair has something to offer for everyone.
Councillor Lynette Bowers-Flint, Cabinet member for housing, health and wellbeing at Braintree District Council said: “The Age Well Fair is a brilliant example of how our community comes together to support older residents. It’s not just about services - it’s about connection, dignity and ensuring everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive. I encourage everyone to come along, whether for advice, support or simply a chat with knowledge people.”
Admission is free and whilst no booking is required, those booking ahead will be entitled to a free goody bag. Refreshments will be available and attendees are encouraged to drop in at any time during the event.
