Braintree District Council, in collaboration with the Federation of Small Businesses, is launching a series of business briefings designed to help businesses stay competitive, build connections and gain valuable insights into key topics.

From mastering sales and leadership to exploring AI, cybersecurity, legal essentials and social media trends — each session will deliver expert insights, practical tools and valuable networking opportunities.

Each briefing is free and will feature an expert-led presentation followed by a Q&A session and an hour of informal networking. Attendees will also enjoy complementary pastries, refreshments, and free parking.

The first session, Mastering Sales, will take place at the I-Construct Innovation Hub in Springwood, Braintree on Tuesday, 30 September.

Monthly briefings on various topics will continue through to February next year; each tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.

Cllr Franki Ricci, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Infrastructure at Braintree District Council, said: “These briefings are a great way for businesses to gain practical advice and expert insights. We’re committed to helping our business community connect, grow and adapt, and these briefings are just one of the ways we’re making that happen.”

Ann Scott, Development Manager at the Federation of Small Businesses, said: " These events are a fantastic way for local small business owners and entrepreneurs to gain practical insights on vital topics like sales, AI, legal compliance, leadership, and cyber security, while also building valuable connections within the community. By bringing people together in an open and collaborative setting, we’re pleased to have a hand in strengthening the local economy and in giving small businesses the tools they need to thrive."
