Braintree District Council held its Spectrum Works Jobs and Wellbeing Fair on Tuesday 15 July, at Causeway House in Braintree, from 10am to 1pm.
The event featured 18 stalls from a wide range of organisations offering job roles, employment and training advice for people with both diagnosed and non-diagnosed neurodiversity. The job fair welcomed 140 attendees, all enthusiastic to seek new career paths and guidance on their next steps. The event created a space for informal networking, allowing attendees to build connections with employers and peers.
The event was free to attend, with no booking required and attracted a strong turnout from the local community.
Reflecting on the event, Cllr Justin Wrench, Chairman of Braintree District Council, said: “The event was a powerful reminder of how much talent exists in our community and the importance of creating workplaces where everyone feels valued, supported, and able to thrive. I was particularly impressed by the range of opportunities on offer and the dedication of those working to break down barriers to employment.”
