Braintree District Council shared Livewell Strategy Year 1 outcomes report at Cabinet meeting

Braintree District Council Cabinet have discussed the Livewell Strategy Year 1 outcomes report at their Cabinet meeting last week on 17 March 2025.

The report highlights the progress in enhancing the health and wellbeing of residents across the Braintree district, and outlines key achievements and insights gained during the strategy's first year of implementation. It aims to showcase the council's dedication to creating a healthier and happier community.

The Livewell Strategy Year 1 report details successful initiatives and partnerships that have contributed to improved outcomes in areas such as physical activity, mental wellbeing and community engagement. This includes examples such as the Braintree Community Garden, the ParkPlay initiative and the successful collaboration with HealthWatch Essex in the Fella’s Fair campaign.

The Livewell Strategy aims to address the diverse needs of the district, focusing on prevention, early intervention and reducing health inequalities. The Year 1 Outcomes report provides a comprehensive overview of the strategy's impact, including data-driven evidence and qualitative feedback from community members.

The Council will continue to work collaboratively with partners, stakeholders, and residents to build on these successes and further enhance the Livewell Strategy's effectiveness in the years to come.
