Braintree District Council recently held a business support networking event in support of businesses trading within Braintree’s Town Centre.
The event took place at Causeway House (Bocking End) on Tuesday, 15 October from 6pm to 8pm.
Businesses received an update on the new Public Space Protection Order from Essex Police and were given an insight into the free business support programmes available to businesses from the North Essex Economic Board.
Braintree District Council also shared information about its Festive Boost grant scheme which offers financial support to businesses in the town centre to celebrate the festive season, and encouraged businesses to think of ways they can work together to support town centre led events in the future.
Cllr Frankie Ricci, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Infrastructure at Braintree District Council, said: “Supporting local businesses is vital to the growth and prosperity of our community. Events like these provide a fantastic opportunity for business owners to connect and gain insights into valuable initiatives and programmes intended to help businesses prosper. We are committed to working closely with our business community, listening to their needs and finding ways to help businesses work together to strengthen Braintree’s town centre for both businesses and residents alike."
