Job purpose
To be responsible for the coordination of project support and documentation for digital services.
To provide project support and specialist expertise to enable the successful delivery of ICT projects on time and within budget.
Principal Accountabilities
- To provide project administration and coordination support to enable successful delivery of projects, ensuring compliance with corporate processes with a focus on the delivery of the Digital Strategy, Roadmap and supporting the Fit for the Future programme.
- Support the Technology Solutions Manager with planning, scheduling, issue tracking, documentation and monitoring of activities to ensure delivery of project milestones.
- To coordinate stakeholder engagement for key projects, supporting the Technology Solutions Manager and other project managers with effective stakeholder engagement.
- To liaise with third party ICT providers in their provision of project services to the Council.
- To support the ICT Management team in the business planning and budget management of the service.
- To support the ICT management team with the updating and maintenance of ICT procedures and policies.
- To provide project support to ensure the successfully delivery of ICT and Facilities Projects on time and to budget.

- Any other duties as required to support the business, including maintaining business continuity and during civil emergencies. All staff may on occasions be called upon to support the Council to deal with emergency situations affecting the community we serve. In the event of an emergency or a rehearsal for such an event, you may be required to attend at times and at locations outside of the normal hours and duties of the post and to adopt duties directed by the Chief Executive or their nominated representative for the duration of the emergency.
- Any other associated duties detailed by Head of Service or his representative.
- To advise Line manager if, at any time, the above duties and responsibilities cannot be performed.

Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of working within an ICT team.
- Experience of liaising with, managing and collaborating with external partners and suppliers.
- Experience of working on ICT projects with an understanding of, and an ability to apply project management methodologies.
- Experience of using a range of project management tools and technology.
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to work within a team and the potential to supervise and coach other employees.
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft products especially Office and related tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence, challenge and manage the expectations of stakeholders.
- Flexible and creative approach to tasks and problem solving.
- Knowledge and understanding of the constraints and issues associated with managing projects in a local government context.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
