2. Complaints - Constitution - Chapter 1, The Articles

2.1.  The Council takes complaints seriously. Anyone may raise issues with the Council under the Council’s Corporate Complaints Procedure. For some parts of the Councils activities there are specific statutory schemes to appeal a decision and these should be followed if necessary. If a complaint is not covered by a specific scheme and has been considered by the Councils complaints process a referral can be made by the complainant to the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman.

2.2.  Complaints about Councillor Conduct are managed separately by the Monitoring Officer.

Advice on the Constitution can be obtained from the Monitoring Officer or the Governance and Members Team.
