1.1. In accordance with the Access to Information Rules, citizens will have the following rights available to them:-
1.1.1. To attend meetings of the Council, the Cabinet and Committees except where confidential or exempt information is likely to be disclosed and that part of the meeting is held in private;
1.1.2. To find out from the Decision Planner (incorporating the Forward Plan) what key decisions will be taken by the Cabinet and when;
1.1.3. To see reports and background papers and records of decisions made by the Council, the Cabinet and Committees;
1.1.4. To inspect the Council’s accounts and make their views known to the external auditor;
1.1.5. To participate in the Council’s Public Question Time and to contribute to scrutiny investigations undertaken by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee;
- Advice on the Constitution can be obtained from the Monitoring Officer or the Governance and Members Team.
