Halstead River Walk, Halstead - Open spaces and nature reserves

This is a pleasant riverside walk which is currently being re-developed to improve access with the installation of a surfaced path. It provides good access to the open countryside to the north east (running upstream of the River Colne) and creates an interesting route through Halstead Town. It offers variety with river, scrub and grassland habitats and some interesting trees including a sweet gum tree and veteran oaks can be found here.
