We may also carry out pre-employment checks for some positions.

We use the information you provide to meet our statutory monitoring and reporting duty. Some of this information is optional and you can choose not to complete this.

make any decisions about you based on automated processing
send your data abroad
store your data abroad
Sharing information
To consider your job application we may need to share your information with
other departments within the Council.

We will check information with other sources to make sure the information you have provided and we hold about you is accurate.

If we need to disclose sensitive information, we will only do so
once we have got your explicit consent.

We may disclose information when necessary to prevent the risk of harm to an individual.

We will only disclose information to other organisations if we have a legal duty to release data to:
prevent or detect fraud
prevent or detect crime
protect public funds
Data retention
We only keep your data for as long as necessary.

We keep the personal information you provide for 12 months after we finish the recruitment campaign.

After this time, we destroy your information in a secure way.
