phone numbers
email addresses

We will also keep sensitive or other special categories of personal data such as physical health information.
Purpose for processing

make a decision about your planning application
contact you if there is a problem
if we need more information about your planning application

If you don't provide the information we need, we won't be able to carry out your treatment.

We publish all planning applications on Public Access, which you can find through our website. We include any comments we receive about an application following consultation.
Lawful basis for processing personal data
We process your data on a lawful basis.

We process your data to meet our legal obligations. We need the information you provide to carry our duties under:

Sharing information
We have a legal obligation to include all planning applications on a public register.

We publish all planning applications on Public Access, which you can find through our website. The information we publish includes:
the applicant's name
the applicant's address
if an agent acting for the applicant
the name and contact details of the agent

To protect personal data, we remove the applicant's:
telephone number
email address
signatures

To consider your planning application we may need to share your information with
other departments within the Council
consultees
members of the public

If there is an appeal, we may also share information about the planning application with the:
Planning Inspectorate
applicant

We will only disclose information to other organisations if we have a legal duty to release data to:
prevent or detect fraud
prevent or detect crime
protect public funds
Data retention
We keep Information in relation to planning applications permanently.
