At their meeting on March 17, 2025, Braintree District Council Cabinet reviewed the Year 1 outcomes report for the Livewell Strategy, which detailed the progress made in improving the health and wellbeing of residents throughout the district. The report highlighted key achievements and insights from the strategy's initial year, underscoring the council's commitment to fostering a healthier and happier community. Successful initiatives and partnerships, such as the Braintree Community Garden, the ParkPlay program, and the Fella's Fair campaign in collaboration with Healthwatch Essex, were specifically mentioned for their positive contributions to physical activity, mental wellbeing, and community engagement.
The Livewell Strategy's first year focused on addressing the diverse needs of the district through preventative measures, early interventions, and efforts to reduce health inequalities. The comprehensive outcomes report provided both data-driven evidence and qualitative feedback from community members to illustrate the strategy's impact. Looking ahead, the Council reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing collaboration with partners, stakeholders, and residents to build upon these early successes and further strengthen the Livewell Strategy's effectiveness in the coming years.
