Corporate Customer Satisfaction Survey 2021 - Customer satisfaction surveys

We have announced our annual Corporate Customer Satisfaction Survey results, showing satisfaction rates are significantly still higher than the national average.

We received 1166 responses to the survey. The results, shared at a meeting of Full Council on Monday 13 December, revealed that:

  • 89 per cent of residents are satisfied with the Braintree District as a place to live
  • 80 per cent are satisfied with the way Braintree District Council runs things
  • 60 per cent feel that the council offers value for money
  • 76 per cent of residents feel well informed about council services
  • 76 per cent of residents are satisfied with the way the council keeps the district clear of litter
  • 90 per cent with waste collections
  • 77 per cent with parks and open spaces
  • 69 per cent satisfaction rate in sports and leisure facilities

We asked residents to give their feedback in the survey which ran from March to September 2021. The survey was promoted in a number of ways including in the residents’ Contact magazine posted to every household, on the council’s website, telephone surveys, shared with the council’s People’s Panel and published in local newspapers.

The feedback from the survey helps the council to make important decisions about the delivery of services to meet customers’ needs. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, it has been very challenging to maintain our services as well as meeting the additional demands COVID-19 has generated.

We will continue to look at ways we can improve our service delivery and to invest in future proofing to make sure the district is a clean and healthy place to live and work.
