Audit of Accounts 2020/21, Notice of Public Rights

Our Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2021. This is now published on our website

The Statement of Accounts is subject to audit and so may change.

From 2 August to 13 September 2021, any person may view our accounting records for the financial year to 31 March 2021.

You can inspect related documents. This includes books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, and receipts. To do this you can make an appointment to visit our offices at Causeway House. You may also make copies of the accounts and documents.
You can submit an application to Phil Myers, Financial Services Manager by calling 01376 5572525.

Or you can contact us by using our online form or by writing to us.

Our external auditor is Steve Bladen, Director of BDO LLP, of 55 Baker Street, London, W1U 7EU.

The external auditor will give their elector or representative an opportunity to make objections and question them about the accounts, until completion of the audit. This could be in regards to any matter, in which the auditor could take action. For example, an unlawful item of account, or could make a report in the public interest.

This will be at the request of members of the public and local government electors for any area to which the accounts relate.

An objection cannot happen unless the external auditor has before received written notice of the proposed objection and its grounds.

A copy of this notice must also go to Phil Myers, Financial Services Manager.
