About the fund
The Council has a Halstead Community Fund (the Fund) which is a grant fund totalling £70,000 against which applications from all voluntary, faith, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) groups and not for profit organisations in the greater Halstead area can be made.
This Fund is for the benefit of the town of Halstead and within a 3-mile radius of it. You can view a map of Halstead showing a 3 mile radius.
Applicants must complete a two-part form consisting of an application form giving details of the organisation and a business case setting out details of the project for which the grant is being sought.
The Fund opens for applications on Monday 2 September 2024 and will remain open for a period of 6 weeks.
Any applications after the closing date of Friday 11 October at 5pm will not be considered. If the total Fund is not allocated as part of this application process a further round may be undertaken by the Council.
Applications received after the initial closing date may be held and considered as part of a further round.
The applications should be for a minimum grant of £10,000. There is no maximum other than what is available in the Fund at the time of application. This is a capital grants programme.
The aim of the fund is to enable VCSE organisations to create and/or improve assets that will provide a benefit to local communities within Halstead. To this end only capital expenditure is available from this scheme.
The Council is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and any grant given under this scheme should be delivered with this in mind. Any specific exclusions present within the project should be identified and reason given in the business case form.
