In March 2024 Braintree District Council introduced a chargeable garden waste collection service to its residents to support sustainable waste management and improve service efficiency.  As a commercial team we are exploring the possibility of extending a similar service to our valued commercial customers.

“Commercial garden waste must be disposed of responsibly and legally, following local regulations and guidelines. If your business or workplace generates garden waste, you must arrange for it to be recycled or composted if it delivers the best environmental outcome.”  Simpler recycling: workplace recycling in England

Commercial garden waste encompasses various types of organic matter generated from gardening activities in professional settings, including landscaping, grounds maintenance, commercial and educational settings and properties.  It includes grass cuttings, leaves, hedge clippings, weeds, pruning and windfall fruit and other plant matter.

Businesses are encouraged to minimise waste, recycle where possible and reuse materials when feasible.

As an existing commercial waste customer, your input is requested to understand if such a service would be of interest to you.
