Braintree District Council and Active Braintree Foundation are pleased to launch the Braintree District Volunteer and Active Braintree Awards 2025. This initiative brings together the annual awards for volunteering, sport and physical activity, and health and wellbeing.
The awards provide an opportunity to recognise the efforts of individuals who generously give their time to help make our communities better, healthier places to live, work, and play. They also celebrate the achievements of our athletes, clubs, and coaches.
Nominations are welcome from all sectors, including arts, sports, community, and culture.
The shortlist, that is the top 3 in each category of the 5 sports and physical activity awards, will automatically (if they meet the criteria) go through to the Active Essex Sports Awards in December 2025.
Nomination deadline is on Friday 12 September 2025 at 5pm.
Nominees who are shortlisted for an award will be contacted during the week beginning 29 September 2025 and invited to attend the Awards Ceremony, which will take place at Alec Hunter Academy on the evening of Wednesday 29 October 2025. (Please ensure your nominee saves this date).
