Councils join up to ask for comments on proposed cross boundary neighbourhood plan

A public consultation has started to seek feedback on the initial stages of the Bures Hamlet and Bures St Mary Neighbourhood Plan.

Bures Hamlet Parish Council and Bures St Mary Parish Council want its neighbourhood plan to cover the parishes of Bures Hamlet and Bures St Mary. This proposed area falls across two districts - Braintree District and Babergh District.

Neighbourhood plans give communities power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area.

Braintree District Council and Babergh District Council is holding a six week consultation which started on September 1 and will close at 4pm on Friday 15 October. The district councils are asking for comments on the appropriateness of the proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan Area.
