The quickest and easiest way to submit a planning application is electronically via the online Planning Portal or via iApply. Applying online offers you step by step assistance and allows to fill in application forms, attach drawings and to pay the required application fee (if appropriate). Once paid the application will automatically be released to us to process.
Please note that all documents need to be in PDF format and named appropriately. Further advice on what documents and drawings are required is listed in our validation requirements.
All planning applications require a site location plan and block plan showing the location and boundaries of the site. The Planning Portal provides a 'Buy a Plan' service where you can purchase appropriate location and block plans for your application.
Emailing your application
If you are unable to submit your application electronically, we are happy to receive your application by email. Please note that there is a maximum email size limit of 10Mb so if you are sending large attachments please do not assume that we have received them as you may need to send multiple emails. If you are sending multiple emails, please ensure that this is referred to in the body of the email. Application submissions can be sent to email@example.com.
