Due to Covid restrictions, we are not able to run the annual Braintree District Volunteer Awards again this year.
We want to acknowledge the amazing people who stepped up to offer help to those in need during lockdown. Working with Community360 we are marking national Volunteers’ Week from 1st to 7th June and running a window poster campaign and a prize draw.
Prize draw nominations
As much as we would like to give something to all volunteers it is not possible. We are asking people to nominate someone they know who stepped up to help.
All nominations will go into a prize draw then we will draw 10 names at random. The winners will receive an afternoon tea delivered to their door.
The deadline for nominations is Friday 11 June. The draw will take place on Tuesday 15 June.
Window poster campaign
Residents and businesses can print the "Thank You Volunteers" poster to display. Similar to the NHS rainbow window poster idea. We also have another poster with superheroes for children to colour in and put in the window too.
Or contact us to have one posted to you.
Make sure to encourage members of your community to take these opportunities to recognise the wonderful superheroes who live amongst us. They might not wear capes and masks but they are all heroes.
